About Us
Satya brings together life on the water, beachfront wellness, and warm hospitality.
A Business Built Around People
Satya's operation is overseen by the founder of Power of Now Oasis, a yoga studio and wellness centre that has been operating on the Sanur beachfront for over 15 years. All guests staying aboard Satya are welcome at the centre to relax in the garden, attend any of our 4 daily yoga classes for free, or simply enjoy a juice or coffee with the team.
Our founder is a retired Australian boat captain. He had Satya purpose built for the company, to both share with guests and use himself occasionally. With this in mind, he oversaw the design and build to encompass both high performance and a simple interior, like a comfortable one-bedroom villa or hotel room. All the staff, including the captain and crew from his previous private boats, have been with the company for many years and are like family. They genuinely enjoy their jobs and work to a high standard. They are all beneficiaries in the company, along with the foundation. This forms our company ethos and integrity in operations.
If you are doing a cruise, or staying aboard in the lagoon, we would all like to welcome you onboard and are here to assist however we can. The studio is open 7.30am to 6.30pm, 7 days a week. The main office for Satya, and the wellness centre is located here.
Our Three Businesses
Satya is part of a small group of beachfront businesses in Sanur – all owned and run by the same team. As a Satya guest, you are welcome at both Kolonial House and the wellness centre, where our main office is located, and boarding for Satya is usually beachfront, or at the Mertasari dock close by.
Community & Charity
Supporting the Solefamily Foundation
Our three businesses operate as semi not-for-profit company. The main beneficiaries are Solefamily, a local children's foundation and our local Balinese staff. You can read more about the great work the Solefamily foundation does by clicking the link below, where you can contact them directly.
At the end of each year, around half of any profits go directly to the foundation, and the other half is shared with the full-time staff. We are respectful members of the expat business community and pay all our tax obligations as a properly registered PMA company. We also offer scholarships to locals who otherwise could not afford the training program, and employ several yoga teachers who completed their training with us. Honesty and integrity are our core principles in all our operations. The charitable component of the company is not just for lip service — it is our main motivation.
